The lowest serial numbers I have found with this change are #2650 for trumpet (bass, 8thphoto), #3738 for flugelhorn, and #5795 for trombone (bottom photo). There are so few of the last two that many more examples are needed to determine what number is close to 1930. Today I had my Antoine Curtois saxhorn in my hands. I didn't play it for quite a long time as a friend of mine had it. As I'm not sure how old it is, I checked the serial number, which is 3841 (should I write 3***? ). Searching the internet, I didn't find a list of serial numbers for Antoine Courtois serial numbers. I found an old thread from 2002 dealing with the same question (http://www.chisham.com/tips/bbs/apr2002/messages/92711.html) but no answer as well.Any ideas?
I also found a nice picture of Antoine Courtois' shop in Paris. Unfortunately there is no date mentioned.
