1 Peter Greeting. 1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. To those who are elect exiles of a the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 according to b the foreknowledge of God the Father, c in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and d for sprinkling with his blood. May e grace and f peace be multiplied to you. Born Again to a Living Hope. 1 John 3:4-6 English Standard Version (ESV). 4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning. Beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Qualifications for Overseers
1The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.2Therefore an overseera must be above reproach, the husband of one wife,b sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,3not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.4He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive,5for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?6He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil.7 Meta 1 9 – music tag editor download. Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.
Qualifications for Deacons
8Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued,c not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain.9They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.10And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless.11Their wives likewised must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things.12Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well.13For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
The Mystery of Godliness
14I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that,15if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.16Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
Hee was manifested in the flesh,
vindicatedf by the Spirit,g
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory.

Test the Spirits
4 Beloved, tdo not believe every spirit, but utest the spirits to see whether they are from God, for vmany wfalse prophets xhave gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: yevery spirit that confesses that zJesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit athat does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and bnow is in the world already. Weather guru 2 3 64.
